Monday Night Raw definitely had some highs and lows this past week. We started with the announcement of Roman Reigns having battled leukemia for the past 11 years and having to take up that fight again. Our Universal Champion had to relinquish his title because he cannot defend it. The self-proclaimed “fighting champion” has a new fight to undertake, and we are with him in it.
As critical as many have been of Roman Reigns and as many boos as I have witnessed that echo out when his music hits, I guarantee when he comes back, there won’t be a boo in the arena and their won’t be a single person not on their feet.
Cancer is one of those things that hits home for most everyone. In addition, when life takes something entertaining and makes it real that is how emotional connections are made. Eyes were not dry on Monday night.
