Let’s start at the beginning of this story. In 2014, as my husband and I were flipping through the TV, he stopped on Monday Night RAW. I don’t know if it was immediate, but I remember saying, “turn this off!” I’m sure he asked, “have you ever watched it?” No, I hadn’t. I mean, of course, I’d heard of wrestling. But, I’ll be honest, I didn’t know anything about it.
Some time had passed, and then we see the previews for Tough Enough, WWE’s professional wrestling and competition show. This is where it all started. We watched the show weekly, and Chris (my husband) regaled me with stories of Chris Jericho, we got introduced to Paige, and I took the next step in my education, I became very interested in the Diva’s division. I was so impressed. The athleticism, the acting ability, and the pride and respect the competitors have for their past and the history of their sport. So, I went back and watched every episode of Total Divas. And then, we went live on Monday nights.
And here we are. Almost 4 years later, 2 going on 3 WrestleManias in a row, and countless conversations with co-workers, friends, and family about what professional wrestling is, what it is not, and why I tune in week in and week out. So, if your story is similar to mine, I hope you enjoy this site. If your story is very different, I still hope you enjoy what you find here and I hope anyone who visits contributes to the content, offers suggestions, and keeps the conversation open.
Simply put, this is a site by a female wrestling fan to talk about the things that wrestling fans talk about. And, lucky for us, we’ll always have something to talk about.
