Read Time:1 Minute, 20 Second

And I wasn’t too impressed. I mean John Cena. The name is quite a pull. The 16-time World Champion. Not the GOAT, as Michael Cole put it (that would be Ric Flair), but tied for his record of championships. And WWE gives him the last 10 minutes of Friday Night Smackdown to basically say what? He’s retiring? He’s stepping aside for younger talent? But then, that wasn’t the case because Bray Wyatt comes out and says nothing, and now John Cena has a match at WrestleMania.

You know what would’ve been better? Have John Cena say all that and then have the Fiend do a “Firefly Funhouse” to challenge John Cena. But first, don’t let Goldberg get the belt in Saudi Arabia. Then, John Cena would be facing the Fiend for a title match at WrestleMania to beat Ric Fliar’s record! That would be a must see. Bigger than Tyson Fury/Devontay Wilder! Okay, well maybe not that big, but wrestling fan big.

Rant over, and of course, I’ll tune in either way, but my husband pointed out last night something very interesting to me. Since Bray Wyatt lost to Seth Rollins in that strange Hell in a Cell match that turned Seth Rollins, we’ve haven’t been watching WWE as much. And now that they’ve moved the belt to Goldberg, who is the definition of a “part-timer,” and who won’t defend it at the next pay-per-view, I just see stale story lines and superstars who can’t get opportunities because they are overshadowed by legends who come out for 20 second matches.
