The other day, I was listening to Dave Lagreca and Bully Ray on Busted Open radio discuss the future story lines of the superstars in the men’s Elimination Chamber match.  In light of the match tonight, I thought I’d share some of the thoughts I had while I was listening (of note: I can’t call into the show because I listen on demand).

Challengers

The official challengers, that were determined several weeks ago on Raw, are John Cena, Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, The Miz, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, and Elias.  Like most people, I believe a clear argument can be made for any of these men to win the chamber and go on to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, especially after the amazing match that Seth Rollins had in the gauntlet match (oh, I could talk so much about how Seth Rollins brought me into this world, but more on that later).  But, what interested me the most was the discussion of Braun Strowman’s future.

What about Braun?

The question was, who will challenge Braun Strowman if he becomes the Universal champion?  It never seemed to come up, but my thoughts were, how about Bray Wyatt? Would it not be a great way to kick back to a previous story line?  It seems to me that there would be so many ways they could set that up, and if I remember correctly, fans were very excited to have Bray Wyatt as the WWE Champion, so to set him up to challenge for the Universal could be a more natural story that him challenging Matt Hardy at this point.

Just some thoughts, what do you all think?

I’ll be recapping the Elimination Chamber match tonight, so it will be interesting to see how things are set into motion heading towards WrestleMania.
