WrestleMania 34 Card Predictions
(in no particular order) – check out my video rundowns.
Andre the Giant Battle Royal
- Elias – but no need to give him a push, if you saw the videos from the other night, he’s already way over
- Matt Hardy – as the Woken persona takes over, this could be good, but let’s remember, last year they were a surprise entrant and won the tag-team titles and this year, Matt is in the Battle Royal and that’s it? I know, we’ve already got a large card, but that is a little disappointing
- Goldust – has been part of a few more things, Mixed Match Challenge, promos backstage, in-ring with John Cena, maybe Goldust will win and start getting a push again
- Surprise entrants – Dean Ambrose is he healthy again? Samoa Joe? Kenny Omega? – No
Women’s Battle Royal
- Becky Lynch – I really think this will be Becky. Crowds have been firmly behind her, and even thought he Sasha and Bayley saga seems to be getting some more TV time, the crowds go wild for Becky. She’s an exciting character, has debuted new ring gear in the past few months, and I think it would be awesome if the inaugural Smackdown Live women’s champion would become the inaugural Women’s Battle Royal winner
Smackdown Live Tag Team Championship – The Usos versus The New Day versus the Bludgeon Brothers
- At Fastlane, I thought the match that The Usos and The New Day put together was amazing – physical, exciting, really just kept you invested. I love how Big E’s face can sell that The Bludgeon Brothers are big and scary, but I don’t know if I see them as the dominating force that they are trying to paint them as. I like Luke Harper, he was always fun to watch when he was with The Wyatt Family, but I think this match was put together a little soon for their new group. In the end, I hope we see a very physical match and I hope The New Day can pull out the win, but I foresee The Bludgeon Brothers getting them and the other two teams fighting for them against The Bludgeon Brothers for the next few months.
Cruiserweight Championship
- The cruiserweight division is very exciting. I’ve been told that in the past, the cruiserweights were a very large group, including the likes of Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, and others. So, to have this group featured on the kick off show will be a very good thing for them. That said, I do not know enough about the cruiserweights feuds or stories to make an educated guess, so I will just say, I’m looking forward to a good match for the championship.
Raw Women’s Championship
- Alexa Bliss versus Nia Jax – I do believe that Nia will and should pull out the win here. I just wonder if we’ll get any interference from Mickie James to keep that from happening.
Raw Tag Team Championships
- The Bar versus Braun Strowman – as we’ve talked about, there is a big unknown about who Braun Strowman’s partner will be. Some people think Elias and other’s think someone else. I speculated yesterday (to myself) that it will be no one, Braun will win them on his own.
United States Championship
- Though many are not very excited for this match, and for good reason, I mean there’s not much storyline there; we can’t discount the ability of Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, Jinder Mahal and Rusev (Day) to put on a great match. These are 4 very physical, very experienced fighters, and to see them all in the ring together, could very well be remembered as one of the best matches of the night. I’m very excited for this one, and I think either Orton retains or Rusev Day is victorious.
Intercontinental Championship
- It is no secret that I am a huge Seth Rollins fan. And I would love a one-on-one match between him and The Miz for the IC title. I like Finn Balor, but I’m not a fan of all these 3-man, 4-man, 6-man fights. The story is okay for this, but I prefer a clear, one-on-one dispute. In the end, I believe The Miz will retain, solidifying his reign as the longest for an IC title holder.
Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon versus Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn
- I have a hard time talking about this match, because I feel I may cry. I have never (ever!!!!) seen Daniel Bryan live. I remember remarking to my husband back in 2015 when I started watching that, “we just missed it, we just missed the reign of Daniel Bryan,” and it was hard. In the end, I think Daniel and Shane will win and Sami and Kevin will go to Raw, but in general, I just can’t wait to see this match.
Smackdown Women’s Championship
- The story is light, but we don’t need much, these two will put on an amazing show, give them at least 15-20 minutes, and I do believe that Asuka will leave with the belt.
The Olympians versus The Authority
- I do think that Triple H and Steph will lose. Ronda will get a push; Kurt will lose his position at Raw and go to Smackdown, taking DB’s spot so he can go full-time. And then the Coach will take the Raw GM
AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura – aka The Dream Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
- These two will be physical, I anticipate some mind games being played, hoping for a good 30-minute match will AJ coming out victorious
Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship
- With the consideration that Brock may leave for the UFC after this, and Roman will take the title, but I think Brock retains after a very physical, probably 30-40 minute match
John Cena versus the Undertaker
- Not set to happen yet, but there are two thoughts here. One, he will come out to defeat Cena and then retire or two, I think he comes out after Roman and Brock, takes them both out (because they were his only two losses), and then scans the crowd for Cena to have that match. And yes, he will be the Undertaker, not the American Badass.
