Hits, Misses, and Huh? From May 14-15, 2018 Raw and Smackdown Live
Hits
- I’m really excited for this new contest: who can cheer, “burn it down,” the loudest – so far, I think London has rivaled WrestleMania
- Seth Rollins is the man and his match with Kevin Owens for the IC Title did not disappoint. Sends a clear message for what a fighting champion is.
- Seth retains the IC Title and Kevin Owens wins in a triple threat to go to Money in the Bank (let’s not mention the fact that he was helped by Sami Zayn)
- Nia Jax challenges Ronda Rousey for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank – great set up and I like that they did the challenge as part of a red carpet event
- The Bar versus the New Day has brought out the best in both of these tag teams
- Paige announces Carmella’s MITB opponent for the Smackdown Live Women’s Championship – Asuka! Will that be an exciting match or what?
- Shinsuke wins and gets to set the stipulation for his match with AJ Styles at MITB
Misses
- Roman Reigns soaks in the boos on Monday night, but doesn’t respond to them. No wonder people are now cheering Jinder.
- Ronda Rousey’s response when Nia called her out was that she didn’t deserve it over the other girls in the locker room – this felt like a forced line and didn’t land well with me
- Why has Braun been removed from singles competition? Are they looking for chemistry to make a tag team or do they just have no other place to put him?
- Though I love a fired up Daniel Bryan, I’m not loving this soft story line with Big Cass
- Mandy Rose’s soft candles, smooth jazz, and blurry camera entrance
Huh?
- Why oh why can’t Breezango win a match? Every time we see them, it seems they are just getting beat up. Well it keeps me watching I suppose.
