If you saw any the beginning of Smackdown Live last night, you know that Big E was discussing his opponents odds of winning the Royal Rumble with all three members of The New Day involved. After spewing a couple of sentences about 33 ½ percent, etc., Xavier Woods interrupts and says, “Big E, why are you doing Steiner math?” What he was referring to was a promo that Scott Steiner cut back in 2008.
When Scott Steiner, and many other notable names, were in TNA, there was an event called Sacrifice. At that event, Scott was going to be facing Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle in a three-way match for the TNA Heavyweight Title. In his backstage promo, he discusses what his opponents odds are by doing a little bit of “math.” See the full clip here. So that, in a nutshell, is Steiner math.
